The Vancouver Canucks could be making a change in goal for Game 4.
When asked before the game if Casey DeSmith would start in net, head coach Rick Tocchet did not confirm, saying there are some game-time decisions he has to make for the lineup.
If DeSmith is unable to play, Arturs Silovs would be the next goaltender up for Vancouver.
After allowing three goals on 15 shots in Game 2, DeSmith stepped up allowing just one goal on 30 shots in a 2-1 victory in Game 3.
DeSmith took over in net after No. 1 goalie Thatcher Demko suffered an undisclosed injury during the Canucks’ 4-2 win over the Nashville Predators in Game 1.
Tocchet told reporters ahead of Game 2 that Demko was considered day-to-day, but was downgraded to week-to-week following further evaluation.
Demko missed 14 games with a lower-body injury at the end of the Canucks’ Pacific Division-winning season. He returned for their penultimate regular-season game, where he secured a 4-1 victory.
Tocchet previously said his earlier injury is unrelated to the one sidelining him from the playoffs.
Silovs appeared in four games for the Canucks this season going 3-0-1 while posting a 2.47 goals-against average and a .881 save percentage. The 23-year-old also appeared in 34 games in the AHL for Abbotsford posting a 16-11-6 record with a 2.74 GAA and a .907 save percentage.
