Capitals’ Alex Ovechkin scores career goal No. 900

Alex Ovechkin continues to raise the bar.

The Washington Capitals‘ future Hall of Famer netted his 900th career goal in the second period against the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday.

Ovechkin notably set the record for the most goals in NHL history when he passed Wayne Gretzky’s previous mark of 874 on April 6, 2025.

The 40-year-old is playing on the final year of a five-year extension he signed in 2021.

More to come.
