Daniil Medvedev defeats Novak Djokovic in US Open final

Daniil Medvedev has defeated Novak Djokovic in the US Open final, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4.

Djokovic was in pursuit of history at this US Open, aiming to become just the first men’s tennis player to complete a calendar Grand Slam since Rod Laver in 1969 and capture a record 21st major, breaking his tie with Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.

More to come.
