Every Modern Bride-to-Be Will Want to Wear These Outfits for a Civil Ceremony

Fashion PR Caroline Allen got married in a Halfpenny London trousers and top.

Weddings, weddings and more weddings: Does anyone else have multiple save-the-dates in their diaries? After a few years of unpredictable events, it makes for a welcome change to have some wedding guest looks to organise. And if you’re a bride-to-be, the chances are your nuptials can resume as previously planned. While a church ceremony may be more traditional and will often see the bride wearing a dress, a civil ceremony allows a lot more freedom when it comes to ‘the one’, and by this, we of course mean the outfit. While there are no rules for what to wear, on your big day, you of course want to feel and look amazing in a memorable ensemble.

Fashion influencer Lucy Williams got married this week in a long sleeved midi dress from 16 Arlington.

So, while you can basically wear any colour you choose, this will of course be down to preference so we’re going to stick with the traditional element of white and ivory looks. But instead of more familiar frothy dresses with veils, expect to see tailored suits, sleek separates, jumpsuits and dresses you can wear well past the big day.
