If you’re the type of fashion-loving person who needs to read product reviews before buying anything, or fields recommendations from friends for practically everything, then this roundup is for you. Over the course of the last month, R29’s team has been buying, gifted, and trialing new products, from new denim styles and statement coats to fall-appropriate shoes and ultra stackable jewelry — and there are plenty that we loved.

At Refinery29, we’re here to help you navigate this overwhelming world of stuff. All of our market picks are independently selected and curated by the editorial team. If you buy something we link to on our site, Refinery29 may earn commission.
“I’ve been on a hunt for the perfect bralette ever since I started getting holes in my go-to style that’s no longer available. Aerie’s ‘bra-ish bralette’ not only provides just the right amount of support with a shapewear-like fit but is incredibly soft to the touch (I once fell asleep in it after forgetting that I had it on). Tip: Get it with a high-waisted matching bottom .”

“Puddle jeans are my new obsession. ICYMI, these are wide-leg jeans where the hem is so long it flares or bunches up at your feet like a puddle. This trend is definitely influenced by the TikTok girlies and personally I’m a fan. I received this pair from LA brand Mother last month and it’s the perfect ’90s-inspired pair and goes with so much in my wardrobe. I was definitely being ambitious with the open-toe shoes in October so I’ll be wearing these with my fave sneakers and heeled boots for the rest of the season.”

“My 4-year-old self was ecstatic when I found out that ballet flats were back in. I’ve always loved their delicate appearance and how timeless they are. You can casually pair them with jeans and a button-down shirt or more formally with a velvet maxi dress. I know there are fresh, new takes on this classic style but I specifically wanted an everyday pair for the office and off-duty days, so that’s why I got my hands on Everlane ‘s Italian leather ballet flats in almond. Created from buttery soft leather and with a cushioned insole, I know my feet will be comfortable and this perfect brown shade will make them a staple piece in my wardrobe.”

“I’m obsessed with oversized clutches because I think they are incredibly chic and versatile. Unlike traditional clutches, this Mansur Gavriel bag also comes with straps so it can be worn as a shoulder bag for more casual occasions.”

“As someone who has a fuller bust and shorter torso, finding a pair of dungarees that fit has been a challenge. Most pairs I’ve tried either had a front bodice that wasn’t wide enough, or went way past where my waist hits. Plus, the bottom half would always be way too loose for my liking. After months of disappointment, I’ve finally found the perfect pair of basic overalls in this black Whistles style. The bodice is wide enough to cover my chest — and gives me enough room to fit a knit top or sweatshirt like this DKNY hand-me-down from my grandma — and the trousers have a relaxed but not overly loose fit. Sure, I still had to chop off several inches at the hem but I will take this for how well it molds to the rest of my body.”

“One of my style goals in life is to dress like the iconic Penny Lane so when I saw this floral, quilted coat I fell in love immediately. It really is a statement piece, especially perfect as we head into winter and outerwear becomes the focal point of our outfits. I’ll be wearing it with everything: with maxi skirts and cowboy boots now, and over cozy knits and jeans as it gets colder. Thinking ahead, I’m eagerly anticipating the TV adaptation of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s Daisy Jones & The Six . This coat will be perfect for a Daisy Jones costume for Halloween 2023!”

“I’ve never been a ring person — I hate the feeling of my fingers being weighed down and snagging clothing whenever I am at fashion appointments — which makes it that much more surprising that I haven’t taken off these rings since I first put them on. The enamel detailing adds a touch of interest to an otherwise simple style while the design is lightweight and, more importantly, snag-proof.” –IG

“I love throwing on a cozy puffer when the weather gets brisk. There’s nothing better than layering a cable-knit underneath and having a cup of tea in hand — hence why I was beyond excited to try Free People’s packable puffer. I’m more drawn to pastel hues over pigmented tones so I chose the Mauve Swoon colorway and fell instantly in love. Sizing-wise, I could have gone for a small (which would’ve still given me the slightly oversized look I love) but this medium has even more room in case I want to throw one of my thick hoodies on underneath or layer even more.” –VL

“Jakke is a WOC-owned brand that’s really carved a space in cold-weather wear, from knit jumpers to faux fur coats to big, fuzzy hats . I love my bubblegum pink sweater vest as it can be worn alone — as seen here during a mild afternoon in Lisbon — or over a long-sleeve top or sweater for autumn layering. It’s super soft and has a lovely, oversized fit (for reference, I ordered this in my regular size, a UK10).” –EB

“‘Tis the season for knitwear and I’m so glad I found the perfect piece to get me through chillier times. This jumper from Thought has a warm, autumnal palette that feels festive without being too over the top. The balloon sleeves are unique and look dressed up even when paired with simple blue jeans or a flared miniskirt. From an eco-conscious standpoint, the brand wins extra points for incorporating a zero-plastic mandate from manufacturing to delivery. This is made of a blend of lambswool and nylon, and feels just as warm and cozy as my other cashmere jumpers.” –VW

“I’m a huge fan of Monica Santos’ work, and the ‘60s feel of this dress really sold her clothing offering to me. I recently wore it to moderate a panel and it gave me a serious yet fun vibe that was the perfect mix of my personal style.” –FSS

“No article of clothing in my closet has gotten more compliments in the last month than these loafers . Beautiful design aside, the heel is just the perfect height to run around in all day and goes equally with skirts and dresses as it does with trousers, which is not the case with the rest of the loafers in my closet.” –IG

“Ever since I received this necklace to celebrate Lucy Williams ’ newest collection with London brand Missoma, I’ve been wearing it almost every day. For months I’d been looking for a simple, long gold chain to add to my everyday stack, and this one is perfect amounts minimal and stylish. I love the weight of the horn (it makes the necklace feel substantial) and the bobbled chain adds an element of edginess to the otherwise simple piece.”–EB

“I am so obsessed with organic-looking, gem-encrusted, looks-like-a-mermaid-could-wear-it jewelry. The problem is, these kinds of pieces tend to be incredibly expensive so when I came across Ottoman Hands, a British jewelry brand inspired by the ancient world of the Ottoman Empire, I felt like I had struck gold.”–EN
