Last fall, when Taylor Swift was photographed holding hands with Travis Kelce for the first time since the dating rumors started swirling, I found myself drawn to her other hand, which was holding some arm candy of its own in the form of an black shoulder bag with a braided strap from the brand Aupen. (I’m a fashion editor, after all, so accessory adoration comes with the territory.)
The relatively new accessories label launched in October 2022 and, as it stands, currently has around 49k followers on Instagram. However, don’t let that fool you. Aupen already has quite an impressive list of celebrity clientele. Over the last year alone, Aupen’s bags have been seen slung over the shoulders of everyone from Selena Gomez and Olivia Rodrigo to Gabrielle Union, Hailey Bieber, Kylie Jenner, Nina Dobrev, Emily Blunt, Jennifer Lawrence, and more. Just this week, Lindsay Lohan was spotted wearing a style from the brand to a party.
Of course, given the sheer number of celebrity endorsements, you wouldn’t be remiss to assume that Aupen’s handbags and jewelry come with an equally celeb-worthy price point. However, the prices aren’t as eye-watering as you’d think. For example, the bag spotted on Mrs. Bieber (dubbed Purpose) retails for under $200, while Swift’s accessory (Nirvana) is slightly higher at $340. So, not cheap by any means, but more modest than the usual designer price tags.

Last fall, Swift made headlines carrying the Aupen Nirvana Bag while out with Kelce. Although this image was deemed newsworthy for other reasons, I had my eyes on the asymmetric shape, a signature of the brand. This wasn’t the first time Swift was seen sporting Aupen, though. The singer also carried this same style earlier in the summer.

The Nirvana Bag has since become a reader-favorite product, according to our shopping data. The most recent celeb to be spotted carrying the viral bag is Emily Blunt. The Oppenheimer star posed with her bag in the color Ash next to Maestro‘s Carey Mulligan at the Oscar Nominees Luncheon in February.
