Golden Knights advance to Stanley Cup Final after dominant win over Stars in Game 6

The Vegas Golden Knights are off to the Stanley Cup Final for the second time in franchise history after a 6-0 win over the Dallas Stars in Game 6 Monday.

The Golden Knights had relentless pressure on Dallas right from the start, taking a 3-0 lead in the first period off goals by William Carrier, William Karlsson and Keegan Kolesar.

On Vegas’ first shot in the second period, Jonathan Marchessault scored his ninth goal of the playoffs on a breakaway to increase the lead to 4-0 and silence the crowd at American Airlines Center.

Karlsson and Michael Amadio added a pair of goals in the third period to seal the game for Vegas.

Adin Hill made 23 saves to improve to 7-3 in the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the Golden Knights.

Vegas will move on to play the Florida Panthers who swept the Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Final. Neither team has ever won the Stanley Cup.

Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final will take place Saturday in Vegas and can be seen on Sportsnet and SN NOW beginning at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT.
