Marc-Andre Fleury, the reigning Vezina Trophy winner, has been traded from the Vegas Golden Knights to the Chicago Blackhawks, Sportsnet can confirm.
The Blackhawks will be sending centre prospect Mikael Hakkarainen back to Vegas in the trade, according to ESPN’s Emily Kaplan. The move will clear the Golden Knights of Fleury’s $7 million salary for next season, the final year of his current deal.
