Hideki Matsuyama has won the 85th Masters, becoming the first male player from Japan to capture one of golf’s major championships.
Matsuyama, a five-time winner on the PGA Tour, had seized control of the tournament on Saturday with a bogey-free, 7-under that pushed him to 11-under overall.
He teed off in the final round on Sunday with a three-stroke lead and would not relinquish it, finishing at 10-under to secure the Green Jacket.
This is a developing story. More to come.
