The Hurricanes appear to be loading up.
Carolina is reportedly acquiring right winger Mikko Rantanen from the Colorado Avalanche, per Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman on Friday.
Full details of the trades have yet to be reported, but according to Friedman, there is no extension for Rantanen as part of the deal at this time.
Rantanen has spent his entire 10-year career with the Avs to this point. The one-time All-Star was also a member of the 2022 Stanley Cup-winning squad.
