Hurricanes beat Devils in overtime to advance to Eastern Conference Final

The Carolina Hurricanes are four wins away from reaching the Stanley Cup Final after beating the New Jersey Devils 3-2 in overtime of Game 5 to reach the Eastern Conference Final.

Jesper Fast scored the game-winner in overtime for his fifth of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Brent Burns also scored for the Hurricanes while Dawson Mercer and Timo Meier scored for the Devils.

Carolina last reached the Eastern Conference Final in 2019 when they were swept by the Boston Bruins.
