Working as a beauty editor, I come across several new beauty products on my desk, but there are a select few that go on to become modern icons. They are the ones that beauty editors and lovers alike agree will stand the test of time in the beauty hall of fame. I’m talking the likes of Chanel Les Beiges Cream Bronzer (I’ll never, ever be without it) Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540 (made TikTok famous for its expensive-smelling connotations) and Living Proof’s Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo, which just about every beauty editor swears by.
Judging my just how popular Dior’s lip oil has become (it has 773 million views and counting on TikTok, closely followed by #diorlipoildupe with 125 million views on the app) I’m certain that we can now declare it a modern beauty icon, with several brands jumping on the bandwagon to create their own dupes.
But at £32, I will admit it’s certainly not the cheapest of lip oils around. So, the question is: Is the Dior Lip Glow Oil *actually* worth the hype? I decided to put it to the test to find out.
