If You're Going to A Restaurant—Here Are Some A+ Outfit Ideas

Plans are few and far between this year, with the usual December activities off the cards. In the lead-up to Christmas last year, I attempted to do my own advent of evening plans, saying yes to any invite that came my way. This year however my challenge is how many meals I can actually endure outside in December—heater or no heater. If you are in Tier 1 and 2 and are choosing to go to restaurants, then this is one opportunity to really dress up and dig out those sequins from the back of your wardrobe. 

I’ve seen people this week wearing their fanciest party frocks to eat a bowl of noodles in a beer garden—and why not at this stage? If you want a night out of your tracksuit bottoms, and to dress up for dinner, below I’ve listed several outfit ideas that feel fabulous, but not too OTT for December dinner plans, whether you’re going to Wagamamas or The Ivy.

I’ve focused on what to wear underneath your coat—so if you are dining outside, then you’ll need a puffer jacket and a scarf which could double as a blanket. The general rule is the more layers, the better. Keep scrolling for some restaurant-ready outfits to try for your next meal out.
