I'm a Jumper Hoarder, But I Would Make Room for These 23 in My Wardrobe

I’m the type of person who will always feel even the faintest of chills in the air. On a warm summer’s day, you might even find me shivering at the slightest hint of a breeze. But being a cold girl has its perks. It means I can always justify treating myself to a new jumper. And with autumn just around the corner, I decided to scope out the current knitwear scene to see if anything piqued my interest. I didn’t necessarily expect to create a full-blown wish list of the best autumn jumpers, but that’s exactly what happened.

Ordinarily, I’d only buy one or, at most, two new knitted pieces at the start of the season. At this point, I only invest in quality pieces that I know I’ll wear season after season, so I never really feel the need to update my jumper collection on a whim. Still, after locking eyes with this beautiful lot, I’m having the hardest time deciding between them.

This season’s designer jumper highlights include Shrimps’s strawberry embroidery, J.W. Anderson’s anchor-emblazoned patchwork creation, and Nili Lotan’s chic take on rugby stripes. But the high-street also has more than its fair share of covetable sweaters to choose from. & Other Stories’s classic cable-knit jumper is likely to be my first purchase, and chances are COS’s on-trend tangerine offering will be my second.

I already know that all of the knits on my list will be swift sell-outs, so I recommend scrolling below to check out the best autumn jumpers before they inevitably disappear.

This ombré effect is just so beautiful.

Arket’s best-selling striped knit now comes in this chic navy colour.

Every street-style star will have this knit.

Call off the search—I’ve found the perfect cable-knit jumper.

I’d wear this over my collection of printed midi dresses.

This jumper looks so high-end. Bravo, Mango!

This would look so good tucked into leather trousers or a skirt.

Polo knits are still trending this autumn.

I honestly can’t stop thinking about this jumper.

The ideal way to elevate my leggings.

I’ll always be a sucker for monochrome stripes.

This shade of blue is going to be big news this autumn.

All of our editors have their eyes on this gorgeous knit.

An efficient and affordable way to tap into the green trend that’s sweeping the fashion scene.

These scalloped edges really upgrade the classic camel knit.

I know I’ll get so much wear out of this striped number.

Orange knitwear is already proving to be popular this season.

M&S always creates excellent jumpers, and this one is no exception.

This cut-out knit comes in four colours, and I love all of them.

I adore this joyful take on the timeless Fair Isle motif.

I already have this versatile jumper in cream and mole. Now I have my sights set on this powdery blue version.

Okay, I know this isn’t technically a jumper, but it’s just too good to leave out.

One of my favourite jumpers of the year comes courtesy of Barbour. It’s just so classic.
