The Winnipeg Jets have clinched a playoff berth with their 5-2 win over the Calgary Flames on Thursday, becoming the second Canadian team to do so.
This is the second year in a row and the sixth time in seven years that the Jets have appeared in the post-season. They last won a playoff series in 2021, when they swept the Edmonton Oilers in four games.
In their second year under head coach Rick Bowness, the Jets played to a 46-24-6 record, accumulating 98 points.
With the loss, the Flames have been mathematically eliminated from post-season contention.
More to come.
