The Cincinnati Bengals are returning to the Super Bowl for the first time since 1988 — led by a sophomore quarterback who wasn’t born until eight years after that.
Joe Burrow rallied the Bengals to a 27-24 overtime win over the Kansas City Chiefs — denying Patrick Mahomes a third-straight trip to the Super Bowl. The Bengals scored 21 unanswered points to take the lead late in the fourth quarter, then sealed the win with an interception and field goal in overtime.
Cincinnati will face either the San Francisco 49ers or Los Angeles Rams in the Super Bowl on Feb. 13 in Los Angeles.
More to come…
