Kerfoot scores in OT, Maple Leafs take 3-1 series lead on Lightning

Alexander Kerfoot scored on the power play in overtime as the Toronto Maple Leafs rallied to beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-4 on Monday in Game 4 of their first-round playoff series.

The Leafs lead the series 3-1 after their second overtime win in a row in Tampa.

Trailing 4-1 after two periods, the Leafs forced overtime with three unanswered goals in the third.

Star centre Auston Matthews scored two goals in a row to cut the deficit to 4-3 before Morgan Rielly tied it with 3:56 left.

Rielly also had the overtime winner in Game 3.

Noel Acciari also scored for Toronto in Game 4, while Alex Killorn, with two, Steven Stamkos and Mikhail Sergachev scored for Tampa.

Game 5 is Thursday in Toronto.
