Seattle has gotten the better of another Toronto team.
The Kraken topped the Maple Leafs with an overtime goal from Josh Mahura for a 4-3 win on Saturday.
The Blue Jays, of course, lost 6-2 to the Mariners in Game 5 of the ALCS on Friday
It was the Maple Leafs’ second consecutive game that has gone to overtime, and the fourth consecutive extra period for the Kraken. With the win, the Kraken have won their first of three on the road.
After John Tavares tied it early in the third period with his second goal of the game, even play from both sides pushed it to an extra frame.
Shane Wright opened the scoring with a power-play goal for the Kraken in the opening period, but Morgan Rielly responded to tie it for the home team. Jani Nyman and Vince Dunn also contributed goals for the visitors.
