Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander will not play in Wednesday’s game against the Montreal Canadiens due to exposure to a possible positive COVID-19 case with a close contact outside the team.
The team said that Nylander is isolating and his situation will be re-evaluated on Thursday pending the results of further testing.
After consultation with the NHL, Wednesday’s game between the Maple Leafs and Canadiens will continue as scheduled.
