Lightning outlast Blue Jackets in historic five-overtime Game 1

The Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 3-2 in the fifth overtime period of Game 1, winning the fourth-longest game in NHL history.

Brayden Point scored the game-winning goal at the 10:27 mark of quintuple overtime.

The Lightning now lead the first-round series 1-0 with Game 2 scheduled for Thursday at 3 p.m. ET/ noon PT on Sportsnet.
