Live Coverage: Latest news, updates from Day 2 of Parliament’s Hockey Canada hearings

While Tuesday’s testimonies — especially the comments from Danielle Robitaille, partner of Hockey Canada’s third-party investigating law firm Henein Hutchison, and Sport Canada senior director Michel Ruest — provided novel insights into the Hockey Canada case, the witness list for the second day of hearings positions Wednesday as a potentially revelatory moment in the investigative process.

Current and former Hockey Canada officials, several individuals from the Canadian Hockey League — including president Dan MacKenzie and the commissioners of all three of the WHL, OHL, and QMJHL — as well as the CEO of BFL Canada, the insurance partner for Hockey Canada will appear before Parliament on Wednesday as the Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage continues its inquiry into the handling of 2018 sexual assault allegations and the settlement of the subsequent lawsuit this spring.

Wednesday’s hearing begins at 11 a.m. ET / 8 a.m. PT and will run for approximately four hours, concluding at 3 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. PT.

The hearing can be seen on Sportsnet and streamed, in its entirety, on sportsnet.ca through the video player atop this page. Stay informed of the latest with our real-time coverage below.
