The Opening Ceremony of the pandemic-delayed Olympic Games is finally here.
Tokyo 2020 will have its official kick-off on Friday with a ceremony that will look very different than those we’ve seen at Olympics past.
In an attempt to minimize the risk of spreading coronavirus infections, the Opening Ceremony from Tokyo’s National Stadium will be held without spectators. As a reduced number of athletes march into the stadium, there will only be a select number of officials, guests and media in attendance.
