Even after losing to France and Australia in the first two games of group play in Olympic women’s basketball, Canada has a path to the knockout stage heading into its matchup against Nigeria on Sunday.
There are two ways for the Canadian women to advance. The first is beating Nigeria by 26 or more points, and the second is winning by at least nine points and getting some help from host France, which would then have to beat Australia.
Anything short of those two scenarios and Canada will fail to make it out of Group B.
