Maple Leafs acquire Foligno from Blue Jackets, Noesen from Sharks

The Toronto Maple Leafs have acquired Nick Foligno from the Columbus Blue Jackets and Stephan Noesen from the San Jose Sharks.

Columbus will receive Toronto’s first-round selection in 2021 and fourth-round selection in 2022, while San Jose will get the Maple Leafs’ fourth-round selection in 2021. As part of the deal, the Blue Jackets will retain 50 per cent of Foligno’s contract, while the Sharks will retain 50 per cent of Foligno’s remaining contract.

In 42 games this season, Foligno has scored seven goals and added nine assists.

This is a developing story. More to come.
