Marc-Andre Fleury secured his 500th career win Thursday night as the Chicago Blackhawks goalie recorded the shutout in his team’s 2-0 victory over the Montreal Canadiens.
Fleury became just the third goalie to reach the 500-win milestone following fellow Quebec natives Martin Brodeur and Patrick Roy.
The 37-year-old from Sorel, Que., earned 375 wins during the first 13 seasons of his career with the Pittsburgh Penguins plus 117 in four years with the Vegas Golden Knights. The reigning Vezina Trophy winner was traded to the Blackhawks this past summer.
