Matt Fitzpatrick broke free of a three-man race to win the U.S. Open at The Country Club for his first career major title.
Fitzpatrick had to recover on the 18th hole after his tee shot went into the bunker but was able to get to the green and sink the par putt to finish with a 60 on Sunday and 6-under for the tournament.
Will Zalatoris finished just short of forcing a playoff after missing a birdie putt on 18th, allowing Fitzpatrick to come away with the win.
More to come...
