Max Holloway just reminded the world why they call him “Blessed.”
In a high-paced, back-and-forth war, Holloway spoiled Dustin Poirier’s retirement fight by unanimous decision Saturday night in the main event of UFC 318 at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, La.
The Hawaiian featherweight legend moved up in weight once again to avenge his 2019 loss to Poirier.
The win puts Holloway (26-7) on a short list of fighters to beat Poirier at lightweight.
Poirier (30-9, 1 NC) announced before the fight that this would be his final walk to the Octagon.
More to come.
