Mine blast damages hull of oil tanker off coast of Saudi Arabia – report

A Greek oil tanker has reportedly been damaged by a mine explosion near a Saudi port in the Red Sea, the maritime security company Ambrey has said.

The crude oil tanker, named Agrari in reports, is said to have sustained hull damage from a suspected magnetic mine, receiving a breach about one meter above the waterline.

The explosion took place off the coast of Saudi Arabia’s Jazan province, which borders war-torn Yemen to the south.
