M&S's Shoes Are Better Than Ever for Summer—These 18 Pairs Prove It

Sam wears a full M&S look, including these flatform sandals.

Here at Who What Wear UK, we’ve long been fans of Marks and Spencer’s shoe collection. Our chat channels often light up with discussions of new-in styles or old favourites that we’ve treasured for years. So when I stumbled across three expensive-looking shoes that hit all the trends right now, I was pretty chuffed. When I realised they were from M&S, I was elated. And naturally, I came here to share them with you.

There’s a lot to love about M&S, from its affordable yet luxurious cashmere jumpers to its scene-stealing party dresses and all your lingerie needs. But recently, its shoe department has been particularly on point, and these three styles are set to be favourites amongst fashion people. Marks and Spencer has finessed creating expensive-looking styles at purse-friendly prices, and with these three styles set to continue trending in 2023, there’s no time like the present to update your shoedrobe.

Without further ado, here are the three M&S shoes we fashion people can’t get enough of.

I had planned to ramp up to this pair, as they are such a gem, but when I realised they had just been restocked in all sizes, I had to put them first. With the revival of ballet flats as the shoes to be seen in, it’s no surprise that these Miu Miu–esque flats flew off the shelves at their first release. Thankfully, the sartorial gods have given us a rare second chance. The striking pointed toe adds a touch of elegance, whilst the buckle detailing firmly grounds this pair. I think we will spot these peeking out under tailored trousers, or paired with socks and miniskirts for a retro feel. However styled, we’re sure these will be a double sell-out.

I plan to snap these up before they’re gone (again).

Next up, the platform Mary Jane. We’ve spotted plenty of stylish people wearing these chunky heels over the party season, and as a feature of the S/S 23 shows, we’re sure this style will be sticking around for the rest of the year. This bold shoe is much more versatile than it seems, as it pairs harmoniously with everything from jeans to miniskirts, dresses to tailored trousers. Marks and Spencer’s pair features a double-strap detail and comes in both black and cream colourways. The platform sole means that despite the bold look, the actual heel isn’t terribly high, making it comfortable enough for dancing all night long. The hard part is choosing which colour to go for.

So Parisian, don’t you think?

Cream always looks so elevated.

June is here and with it the warm weather (finally), so what better time to invest in a new pair of sandals. These fisherman sandals look so much more expensive than they are and are crafted from real leather, so you’re know they’re going to wear well too. Team WWW are pairing theirs with pretty summer midi dresses, linen co-ords, slip skirts and jeans (and most of us have them in both colours!)

Thank chunky soles really does it for me.

Black is always a classic.

These cult sandals are back in stock. Run, don’t walk.

These are the expensive-looking sandals Sam is wearing above.

I honestly can’t believe these are high street.

This pair will live in your wardrobe for years.

We’re predicting a sell out for this chic French-girl style.

Designer vibes for under £50? Sold.

We come back to trusty loafers season after season.

These designer-looking heels have such a cool, retro feel.

The chunky heel will add extra stability and comfort.

Picture these with blue jeans. Perfection!

Just slip on and go!

The perfect choice if you’re heading to a wedding or summer party.

So simple but so chic.

I love the Y2K vibes here.

Pair with all your favourite summer dresses.
