The Netherlands and Senegal both secured their spots in the knockout round of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with wins on the final match day for Group A.
The Netherlands beat host Qatar 2-0 to finish top of the group with seven points on a 2-0-1 record. At the same time, Senegal rallied to a 2-1 win over Ecuador to finish second in the group with six points on a 2-1-0 record.
The two teams join France, Brazil and Portugal, who booked spots to the knockout round by each winning their first two games.
