Friends will become foes in the World Baseball Classic final.
Shohei Ohtani and Japan rallied to a thrilling 6-5 walk-off win over Mexico, setting up a matchup against Mike Trout and the United States in Tuesday’s final.
Mexico led 5-4 heading into the ninth but Japan scored twice to pull off the incredible comeback, sparked by a lead-off double by Ohtani and a two-run double from Munetaka Murakami.
