Oilers’ Leon Draisaitl reaches 1,000 career points

Leon Draisiatl has joined an exclusive club.

The Edmonton Oilers star reached the 1,000-point mark when he notched an assist in the first period against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday.

Draisaitl is the 103rd player in NHL history to reach the milestone. The German accomplished the feat in his 823rd game.

Draisaitl, 30, is a five-time all-star. He won the Hart Trophy as the league’s most valuable player in 2020.
