Oilers lose to Kings, fall four points behind L.A.

The Edmonton Oilers‘ chances of getting home-ice advantage in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs took a big hit on Saturday.

The Los Angeles Kings moved four points ahead of Edmonton in the race for second in the Pacific Division with a 3-0 win over the visiting Oilers. Each team has six games left.

If the teams stay second and third in the division, they will meet in the first round of the playoffs for the fourth year in a row. Edmonton has won all three previous series.

Kings goalie Darcy Kuemper registered the shutout, while Kevin Fiala, Andrei Kuzmenko and Trevor Lewis scored for the Kings.
