The Edmonton Oilers will be down one of their do-it-all forwards for the remainder of Game 4.
Winger Zach Hyman exited the game early in the first period after a collision with Dallas Stars forward Mason Marchment in the neutral zone.
It happened mid-way through a very physical first period as Marchment was going for the open-ice hit. He didn’t make full contact, but rather clipped Hyman on the right wrist, but Hyman immediately dropped his stick and skated off the ice.
Hyman, a 54-goal scorer in the 2023-24 regular season, has suited up for all 15 playoff games for the Oilers so far. He’s registered five goals and 11 points.
Prior to exiting the game, he had one shot on goal and two hits in 3:11 of ice time.
