The Florida Panthers and captain Aleksander Barkov have agreed to an eight-year, $80-million contract extension, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reports.
Barkov is entering the final year of a six-year, $35.4-million contract meaning the 26-year-old will be a member of the Panthers through to age 35.
