Playoff road woes continue for Jets’ Connor Hellebuyck

Good thing a potential Game 7 is at home for the Winnipeg Jets.

The road just doesn’t seem to agree with star goaltender Connor Hellebuyck.

The Hart Trophy finalist had another stretch to forget Friday in St. Louis, giving up four unanswered goals in the second period as the Blues raced in front 5-1 in Game 6 of their first-round series.

It continued a disturbing trend for Hellebuyck, who is now the third goalie in NHL history to allow four or more goals in seven consecutive road playoff games, per Sportsnet Stats.

In his previous six playoff games away from Winnipeg, the two-time Vezina Trophy winner is 0-6 with a 5.72 goals-against average and .835 save percentage.

The home team had won all five games of the Jets-Blues series heading into Game 6, with Winnipeg having a 3-2 edge.

Game 7 would be Sunday in Winnipeg.
