PSA: M&S's Perfect Cold-Weather Jacket Just Got Restocked Overnight

If there’s one thing I love about my role as Who What Wear’s shopping editor, it’s predicting what I think will be the next big bestseller, and it’s even more exciting when it’s an affordable high-street find. As such, I spend great deal of time scouring through the new-in sections of your favourite stores (to save you the time and energy), and often I’ll come across a buzzy new find or a hidden restock that deserves your immediate attention, and this week M&S’ extensive new-in section has been full of hidden treasures that I know you’re going to love, and one particular piece has been trending on socials too.

This summer has proven to be very difficult to dress for, and the confusing mix of spells of sunshine, gale force winds and heavy downpour means I don’t know whether to reach for a summer dress or a cosy knit when I get dressed the morning, so I’m pleased to say that Marks & Spencer has the ideal transitional weather solution, and it’s a light layer you can continue to wear into autumn and winter too. Enter the bomber jacket.

Remember the Frankie Shop Astra Bomber that everyone on Instagram became instantly obsessed with? And the controversial Loewe bomber that Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner both immediately bought? It’s clear that according to the fashion crowd, the bomber is the coolest jacket since the leather biker, and getting the right one is the perfect way to make sure your summer outfit is ready for anything (drizzle included), and M&S’ affordable bomber has been a bestselling success since it first landed.

You will have spotted the original Padded Bomber in Navy popping up on some of Instagram’s best dressed, and although it almost immediately sold out, new colourways have been introduced (hello, toffee!), and the lighter version, the Relaxed Bomber, is an easy-to-wear wonder that deserves a spot in your wardrobe for the season ahead.

While I keep spotting the jacket worn with a simple tank top and jeans at the moment (I’m going to blame the unpredictable temperatures), it would also look great with a breezy summer dress and sandals for the rest of summer, and a turtleneck, midi skirt and knee-high boots in autumn. Now that’s what I call versatility.

So, if you’re looking for a jacket that you can throw on as soon as the skies are looking grey, keep scrolling to shop the expensive-looking Marks and Spencer jacket that’s about to sell out again this season. But be warned, it won’t stick around for long.

I’m obsessed with this brand new colourway.

Add a pop of colour to a neutral outfit.

An influencer and editor favourite.

How expensive does this look?

The indigo wash looks so expensive.

Chic trench coats never go out of style.

There’s no need to spend four figures on a leather jacket when faux leather looks this good.

I love the belted waist.

M&S is such a premium quality.

How to master French girl styling in just one jacket.

Laidback luxe.

I want to copy this entire look, starting with the coat.

Waistcoats have to be the breakout trend of the last 12 months.

Just add a white tee and black maxi skirt.
