The Toronto Raptors have added some front-court help.
The team acquired centre Trayce Jackson-Davis from the Golden State Warriors in exchange for a 2026 second-round pick, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported on Wednesday.
It’s the second deal of the day for the Raptors, who acquired guard Chris Paul from the Clippers as part of a three-team deal that saw Ochai Agbaji head to the Nets.
While Paul is reportedly expected to be moved again or waived, Jackson-Davis adds some size to a Toronto team that’s been without centre Jakob Poeltl due to a lingering back injury.
The six-foot-nine Jackson-Davis has struggled to find playing time this year, playing just 11.4 minutes a night – his lowest over his three-year career.
In 36 games this season, the 25-year-old is averaging 4.2 points and 3.1 assists while shooting 58.8 per cent from the field.
Per Charania, the deal also keeps the Raptors under the luxury tax, which they ducked below after the earlier Agbaji deal.
