Serena Williams’ story isn’t quite over yet. She produced a superb performance on Wednesday night to progress to the third round of the US Open.
The 23-time major champion had been handed a tough draw for this second round match, where she faced the No 2 seed Anett Kontaveit. In the end, she was too strong for the Estonian, winning 7-6, 2-6, 6-2.
