Why is it that I have a terrible memory when it comes to people’s names and dates of significant events but can remember the exact dress my second cousin wore to my other second cousin’s wedding six years ago? If that’s not an important life skill, I don’t know what is. Joking aside, my photographic fashion memory, naturally, comes in very handy for my job. As soon as I see something that piques my interest, be it shoes, a bag or, indeed, a dress, I archive it away in my mind for future reference. It sits there until it can be transformed into an interesting feature for Who What Wear. Today, I’m ready to share my most recent observation with you.
A few weeks ago, I spotted chic French influencer Léna Farl wearing a beautiful printed dress from Yolke. I’ve known about the Brit brand for years (it began life as a sleepwear label back in 2013), but it has been flying somewhat under the radar lately. The seed, however, was planted. I began noticing other fashion types were also wearing Yolke—its dresses in particular—and given they’re of such a chic calibre, I just had to share them with you.
Yolke’s latest collection of dresses—which is almost exclusively comprised of fresh florals—is one frock hit after another. With a focus on midi and maxi lengths, the edit boasts key design details, including ruffles, puff sleeves, contrast trims and a gorgeous palette of soft hues. These are the types of dresses you could wear quite comfortably to a summertime wedding and know you’ll be one of the best-dressed guests there (not a brag, just a fact), but they also loan themselves to more casual endeavours such as a picnic in the park or a day at the seaside. While they may not be the most affordable frocks on the block, I think their timeless appeal makes them a sound investment, one you’ll wear for seasons to come.
So if you’re like me and can’t resist a beautiful dress, scroll on to see the Yolke dresses influencers love, to shop Yolke’s latest frock drop and to check out some other floral dresses that have caught my eye. Enjoy!
