The Dallas Stars have booked their spot in the Western Conference Final thanks to a 2-1 win over the Seattle Kraken in Game 7 on Monday.
Dallas’ victory secures a 4-3 series win in Round 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The Stars will now face the Vegas Golden Knights, who defeated the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday to advance.
Dallas forward Roope Hintz has been a standout for the Stars this post-season, as he leads the team with 19 points (9 goals, 10 assists) in 13 games.
The Stars make their return to the Western Conference Final for the first time since they defeated the Golden Knights back in 2020 and advanced to the Stanley Cup Final. Dallas would then lose to the Tampa Bay Lightning in six games and miss out on a chance to hoist hockey’s ultimate prize.
Dallas has one Stanley Cup victory in franchise history, coming back in the 1998-99 season when the Stars beat the Buffalo Sabres.
The Florida Panthers and Carolina Hurricanes will square off in the Eastern Conference Final.
