Steelers’ Ben Roethlisberger says ‘all signs point’ to this being final season

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger admitted Thursday that this season could be his last.

“Looking at the bigger picture, I would say that all signs point to this could be it, regular season, that is,” Roethlisberger said. “But in the grand scheme of things, in terms of regular season, signs are pointing that way that this could be it.”

The Steelers host the Cleveland Browns Monday at Heinz Field before closing the season on the road against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 18. With a 7-7-1 record, the Steelers are one of a number of teams still battling for a playoff spot in the tight AFC.

The 39-year-old Roethlisberger is a six-time pro bowler and two-time Superbowl champ. In 247 games — all with the Steelers — Big Ben has a 163-81-1 record and with 63,721 passing yards and 416 touchdown passes.

In 2021 Roethlisberger has 336 completed passes on 515 attempts (65.2%) for 3,373 yards and 20 touchdowns.
