Steelers star quarterback Ben Roethlisberger retires

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger announced his retirement on Thursday.

The 39-year-old Roethlisberger was widely expected to retire after his team was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Kansas City Chiefs.

Roethlisberger guided the Steelers to two Super Bowl titles and was a six-time Pro Bowler.
