Fashion trends may come and go, but certain outfit phenomenons (cashmere sweaters, for instance) have proven just too cute and comfortable to leave behind. There’s one, in particular, that I’ll remain grateful for: the matching sweatsuit set.
As a freelance fashion writer, I was always a big fan of sporting my pajamas while conducting phone interviews and writing stories from the comfort of my own home. Although matching sweatsuit sets are nothing new, they got a total rebrand back in 2020 and elevated our WFH wardrobes beyond the “I just rolled out of bed” look, transitioning from stay-at-home staples to chic streetwear. One reason they’re not going anywhere? The comfy sweatpants and sweatshirts can be easily iterated and updated to match the current season or trending colors.
