Bill’s journey into cartooning began in the 5th grade when he started replicating cartoons from The New Yorker. Eventually, he developed his own unique style, focusing heavily on the art itself. However, he quickly realized his characters needed something to do and say, so he created a quirky world for them to inhabit. According to Bill Whitehead, great cartoonists entertain others by entertaining themselves first – which is exactly how his cartoons come to be.
