Working as an editor on a fashion publication, I am always on the lookout for new sources of inspiration, particularity when it comes to putting together a winning outfit. In the saturated world of social media, it’s all too easy to get lost in a hole of cookie-cutter ensembles and variations-on-a-theme influencer feeds. The trick is to look to places that might not seem obvious, and for me that’s Net-a-Porter.
It’s simple: if I’m struggling to think of new ways to style something I’ll simply search for similar pieces on the site and it’ll come up with countless examples professionally styled outfits. Or, if I just need some general ideas for new pairings, I’ll look in the new-in section and see what takes my fancy. Plus, as someone who always struggles more with high summer fashion, Net-a-Porter has been a godsend over the last month, with so many fab warm weather looks filtering in.
Now that the temperatures are starting to hit the mid-twenties, it’s time for me to get my fix of new season fashion inspo. At the top of my list is Nicholas’ achingly-cool knitted vest and longline shorts get-up that I plan on recreating with my chunky Birkenstocks. I also have a serious crush on Bondi Born’s terracotta-coloured bikini and trousers set, which will look just as good for sunbathing in the park as it will on your summer holidays in 2021. Scroll down to see the four outfits that caught my eye this season and shop the looks.
