Russian President Vladimir Putin is holding a phone conversation with his US counterpart, Donald Trump, who confirmed the conversation announced by American media on Truth Social, saying the call is “ongoing” and “a lengthy one.”
The discussion comes amid escalating tensions between Moscow and Washington over potential US deliveries of Tomahawk long-range cruise missiles to Ukraine.
It is unclear what topics the two leaders are discussing but it’s widely believed that their conversation is centered on the Ukraine conflict, particularly as the phone call comes ahead of Trump’s upcoming meeting with Vladimir Zelensky on Friday
