Back in 2019 (or, as it feels in my mind, 100 lifetimes ago), I made a trip to John Lewis & Partners for one of my Joy of Shopping series. It’s a time-honoured favourite of the British high street—a sort of reliable aunt you can turn to for all your practical homeware and present-buying needs. Historically it has not, however, been considered the most cutting-edge or ‘cool’ place to shop, and so I was pleasantly surprised when I realised how outdated this preconception was—primarily thanks to Kin.
