Trust Monikh: 11 Pieces I'm Adding to My New-Season Wardrobe

There are hundreds of thousands of influencers in the social ether, but there is only a handful who we religiously follow in order to virtually steal the clothes off their backs. Our primary target is Monikh Dale—the London-based styling and shopping guru who seeks out the coolest buys from every corner of the retail world. From her inspiring tips on rewearing her well-chosen investment items to hunting down the best high-street pieces, her Instagram feed, @monikh, and website are a veritable hotbed of things you’re going to want to purchase immediately (and will never regret). Each month, Monikh will share her new picks exclusively for you.

This month, I’m all about the layers. Linens and chiffons, soft cottons… I want a working wardrobe that mixes and matches to make a hundred different looks. For May I’ve been keeping it light as the weather has started to warm up, but I love to keep a little covered, or at least have the option to, during the day. My hero pieces has to be the COS trench below. Made out of an incredibly light material, this jacket keeps my shoulders shaded when I want to, and then rolls up and fits in my bag when I no longer need it. It’s also a great way to balance a full look of long, loose layers. I’m all about that relaxed, quiet-luxury feel.

Looks like designer…

This style is always a summer go-to.

I love a pop of colour with a neutral look.

I saw this in store a few weeks ago and cannot stop thinking about it. A really great piece that will carry you through to Autumn.

Chunky shoes are great way to balance out layers.

Simplicity always wins.

Adding a little interest to your basic tee.

If you do go short, go for this tangerine dream.

Something I cannot wait to style on holiday.

Very cool worn with loose jeans.

Cut-out’s are still huge this season.

I love the tie detail.

A little refreshing from the standard basket bag?

Beautifully simple. You can style this dress a hundred different ways. I’ll be wearing with an open shirt and brown leather sandals.

The new SS23 ‘it bag’ has arrived. Prepare to see it on all your fave Instagram babes.

You can never go wrong with a simple set.

I am loving parachute pants at the moment, maybe the most versatile piece this season.

The tube isn’t going anywhere and this silk version is a great option for evenings (especially when worn with the linen skirt or parachute pants).

That colour.

My favourite bangles.

I’m starting to become really obsessed with this brands laid back staples. This column skirt is a key shape for SS23.

A great travel option.

A great layering piece.

Layered with one of the linen skirts.

This is a great neutral tone to keep that fresh spring vibe whilst still keeping you warm.

I love this style. I tend to go a little more boho in the warmer months and accessories are the perfect way to start to move into new season.

The trend is already huge, don’t miss out.

I tried this on at Liberty and I instantly fell in love. I’ll wear it now with a t-shirt underneath and my baggy jeans,

Would be a great combo with the above knit.

Not new, but a great way to start bringing in that basket bag style.

Get in a size bigger. Wear with trainers and bomber jacket.

Start introducing a little spring colour to revive your winter trousers.

I love the fit on these. And the darker denim is great for an eveing option.

This is a similar shape to the trench coat I’ve been wearing. It goes with everything, and the unusual length creates a really interesting proportion.

Something you will keep going back to. Wear with jumpers, t-shirts, shirts. A key piece.

I love the tone of this, perfect layered up or simply on it’s own with the above skirt.

This colour is one of my neutrals, it goes with everything.

I’m a sucker for a set. And this is the perfect teamed with the burgundy suede.

The matching skirt is just gorgeous.

Just wear with a pair of jeans and huge knitted cardigan.

The shoe of SS23.
