Trust Monikh: 15 Pieces I'm Adding to My New-Season Wardrobe

There are hundreds of thousands of influencers in the social ether, but there is only a handful who we religiously follow in order to virtually steal the clothes off their backs. Our primary target is Monikh Dale—the London-based styling and shopping guru who seeks out the coolest buys from every corner of the retail world. From her inspiring tips on rewearing her well-chosen investment items to hunting down the best high-street pieces, her Instagram feed, @monikh, and website are a veritable hotbed of things you’re going to want to purchase immediately (and will never regret). Each month, Monikh will share her new picks exclusively for you.

I’m one of those people who is constantly itching for the next season. I’ve re-worn the same 10 pieces over and over again for the past 3 months now and while this is great, and exactly how I advise to shop and dress, I’m ready for pre-spring already. I’m talking about slightly thinner layers, lots of denim and fresh silhouettes. However, with the weather not quite agreeing with my desire for a pre-spring wardrobe, the below edit is a hybrid of winter/pre-spring pieces that you can start working into your current wardrobe. Maybe just pop some thermals underneath for now…

Camille Charriere wore this last week, and I can’t stop thinking about it.

Denim is huge for SS23, and I love this structured top that I’lll pair with my wide leg jeans.

Need to spice up your knitwear? Look no further…

Denim jackets are everywhere. This flared sleeve style might just be my fave so far.

The perfect layering tool. I love it done up and tucked into jeans.

A staple for this season and next.

Reworking my tween years one look at a time.

I’ll wear this back to front.

I love how thin these layers are. Perfect with the parachute trousers.

Super classic and wearable, this dress will carry you through all the seasons. In spring/summer wear with flip flops and a basket bag before styling with a roll neck and thermals underneath, a big chunky cardigan and trainers in autumn.

So chic. A forever piece.

A slightly dresser jeans and tee option.

I’ll be doing double denim a lot in spring.

Wear with a huge knit jumper, cashmere socks and trainers.

If you buy one thing this year, make it a boilersuit.

A very fine knit dress, which feels incredibly sexy on. Save this one for the big day.

An easy top to go with your wide leg jeans.

An investment piece but also a forever piece.

Yes, they’re back.

As cosy as it gets.

Pair with the matching trousers, of course.

How stunning. Team with an oversized knit.

I like my dresses to match my wine.

This colour has been popping up a lot recently. Wear with wide leg brown trousers.

A tee, wide leg trousers and this. Style your hair in a low bun and add gold hoops. Very chic.

I love the padded scarf that comes with this coat.

This looks so expensive.

Buy now, be the envy of everyone come SS23.

With a tee and that denim skirt.

Or style with this…

The perfect t-shirt brand, I buy a few of them every couple of years and live in them.

These casually tailored trackpants will carry you effortlessly from day to night. Keep the look simple and dress up with hair/make up.

So chic. Would look great with the trackpants and tee.

I think this design is genius, the shape of 2022, in a very understated fabric.

The fleece made a huge comeback this year, and it’s the perfect companion for those sultry leather trousers.

I’ve found myself leaning towards a lot of animal print this season, and a Rixo shape is always guaranteed to make me feel confident.

I’m sure you’ve all heard about Camille x Mango, and I’m sure you’ve all seen how effortlessly chic it is.

Obsessed with the split.

My fave colour, in a cut that is guaranteed to be your ‘incase’ dress all year round.

Love the cut in the casual material.

Zara have recently launched their new lingerie collection, and I’m tempted to layer a few of their long slip dresses and wear them out the house, as well as in. Full coverage underwear, maybe a tee, definitely an oversized masculine coat.

Pyjama season is here.

Keep the look warm and tonal – very expensive looking.

Last month it was the sequin midi skirt, this month it’s the trousers. Combine them with a textured jumper in a neutral shade.

This colour, so beautiful with a pair of jeans and strappy heels.

Wear with flat, below the knee biker boots.

Ooooouuf I love a shiny trouser for winter.

Designer-esque, but at a fraction of the price.

The perfect shade of pink.

Invest in this in prep for that party or wedding you have coming up. Wear with a simple silk dress underneath…very chic.

Just the pop of colour your winter wardrobe needs.

Wear this with a jumper over the top and boots by day, before swapping the jumper for a blazer and boots for a platform by night.

Buying this for ‘incase’

With the matching trousers of course.

Taking my new obsession for dungarees into the winter months, I’ll wear with this with jumpers and trainers for the day and a pair of strappy heels for night.

I’m at that age where cashmere is extremely important to me, and so is that collar.

I love this worn low on the waist with a white tee or jumper (plus a slip underneath).

The colour of a fine wine.

That Totême ‘it’ coat is back, and it’s even chicer than before.

That 90’s fit in that burgundy/red. Perfect with the Toteme camel coat.

Worn with a simple sweatshirt, this is a Fashion Week look.

Incase you haven’t heard, I’ve designed a 6 piece collection for Daphine. A real pinch me moment, this collection is based on my grandparents jewellery, so it’s very close to my heart. Wear them everyday, make them part of your uniform.

It’s like they heard my exact needs. This flattering cut is everything.

Brands have been bringing out the vest/cardi combo ever since Katie Holmes crossed the road in that Khaite set. This Massimo duo has pulled me right back.

The print combined with the sleeve structure; this is grown up boho.

A rugby style top to wear day to night.

At this time of year, I always find myself on the hunt for a relaxed pair of trousers. This combat style might just be the ones.

So basic, you can wear it a million ways.

I wore these recently on a shoot, and have not taken them off since. The perfect way to dress up a tee.

I love the colour block on this.

Just like the Zara knitted dress, this is the perfectly toned tee for A/W.

I’m not usually one for a stand out trainer, but doing the nursey run in the rain this winter calls for some colour.
